Small Business Technology Magazine Announces Call for Entries for 2006 Product of the Year Awards

Special Issue to Honor the Best Technologies for Growing a Successful Small Business

SAN JOSE, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- August 29, 2006 -- The call for entries is open for the Small Business Technology Magazine 2006 Product of the Year Awards, the ultimate guide to the best information technologies for America's smallest companies. Winners will be unveiled in Small Business Technology Magazine's second-annual "Best of the Year" special issue and buyer's guide in early 2007. Entries can be submitted online at http://www.sbtechnologymagazine.org/awards2006 through October 6, 2006.

Entries are open to manufacturers and developers of technology hardware, packaged software and hosted services that address areas such as Business Operations, Management, Marketing/Sales, Productivity, Financial Management, Security and Infrastructure. Products will be evaluated based on criteria such as: overall fit; functionality and ease of use; quality and breadth of support; innovation and potential impact on the bottom line of a small business. In addition to the prestigious "Top 10 Winners" list, awards will also be announced in "Finalist" and "Products to Watch" categories.
