Small Business Week in Toronto

Mayor, Board of Trade celebrate entrepreneurs

Attention: Business/Financial Editor, City Editor, News Editor, Government/Political Affairs Editor TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Oct. 15, 2007) - Together with Mayor David Miller, the Toronto Board of Trade has declared Small Business Week in Toronto, coinciding with the weeklong national recognition of Canada's small business sector from October 15-19.

Small Business Week is a celebration of growth, innovation and prosperity for Canadian entrepreneurs, who now create most of the new jobs in our economy. This year's theme "A World Without Boundaries, Open to New Markets" reflects Canada's position as a global business centre.

The Business Development Bank of Canada ( is hosting events and opportunities for entrepreneurs at the Board of Trade this week, including special events designed to help small business owners grow and develop their businesses.
