Social Media Marketing Expert Comes to Calgary

Prominent author, speaker, and marketing consultant Darren Barefoot to speak to marketers on "The Seven Deadly Sins of Social Media Marketing"

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Sept. 16, 2009) - The Canadian Marketing Association, Calgary Chapter (CMA Calgary) will host a luncheon event "The Seven Deadly Sins of Social Media Marketing" featuring prominent author, speaker, and marketing consultant Darren Barefoot on Wednesday September 30, 2009 at the Fairmont Palliser Hotel.

Barefoot, co-author of social media marketing eBook "Friends With Benefits" (soon to be available in hardcopy) will discuss real-world case studies and entertaining stories illustrating his seven deadly sins of marketing in the social web, giving you the fundamentals of how to utilize social media to your benefit.

Attendees will learn from the painful experience of others to avoid online marketing pitfalls and implement best practices when working with social media. By applying the wisdom gained from this session, attendees will fool-proof their online & social media marketing campaigns and almost certainly avoid becoming the laughing stock of the web.
