Solar Energy Initiatives, Inc. Launches New National Sales Campaign

Kicks Off 2010 Marketing Plan at International Roofing Expo

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, FL--(Marketwire - February 17, 2010) -  Solar Energy Initiatives, Inc. (OTCBB: SNRY), with business lines in solar project development, distribution and workforce training, today made an announcement that it will be launching a new national sales campaign targeting commercial rooftop solar opportunities.

Solar Energy Initiatives' operating group, SNRY Solar, will kick off 2010 exhibiting at this year's International Roofing Expo (IRE). The IRE takes place February 22-24, 2010, in New Orleans, Louisiana. Sponsored by the National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA), this is the roofing industry's largest trade show and will be run in conjunction with the NRCA's 123rd Annual Convention. Last year's expo drew 7,472 roofers and building professionals.

"Rooftop solar is a key revenue stream for our business model. Our market intelligence has identified 8.5 billion square feet of large commercial rooftops nationally," stated Chris Wirth, Chief Marketing Officer of Solar Energy Initiatives. "Approximately 2 billion square feet is located in states with favorable incentives for photovoltaic (PV) solar installation. That represents an addressable market of 15,000 megawatts (MW). The NRCA represents more than 4,000 of the best roofing contractors across the United States, so the IRE fits well in our 2010 sales and marketing plan. Roofers play a critical role in the solar economy and are a vital part of our residential and commercial business model. We are excited to engage NRCA members and look to the IRE as an excellent opportunity to build profitable business partnerships with best of breed roofers, engineers and architects. Presenting at the International Roofing Expo is a key phase of Solar Energy's strategy to developing relationships with large scale National accounts."

Partnerships with trade associations are a key element of the 2010 SNRY Solar sales and marketing strategy. Next week marks the start of a focused marketing campaign to engage building professionals and specialty contractors interested in joining the solar economy. In the coming weeks, SNRY Solar will be unveiling its new brand identity, announcing a new program for its dealers, launching the new beta site and expanding its distribution of photovoltaic (PV) and solar water heating (Thermal) products.

Last week, Solar Energy Initiatives made an announcement with the State of South Carolina and the North Eastern Strategic Alliance (NESA), about the creation of a solar showcase to create jobs and drive economic growth. For more information on last week's announcement, please visit
