Solar Thin Films, Inc. Announces Shipment

BUDAPEST, HUNGARY -- (MARKET WIRE) -- December 7, 2006 -- Solar Thin Films, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: SLTF) (the "Company") announced that its majority owned subsidiary Kraft zRt. ("Kraft") achieved an important milestone through its shipment of amorphous silicon photovoltaic production line components and equipment to one of its major customers, Energy Photovoltaics Inc. ("EPV") on December 4, 2006. The next milestone with EPV calls for additional delivery of further pieces of the production line by December 15, 2006. Together with these two shipments in December 2006, the total value of goods manufactured and invoiced to EPV and EPV-related projects, will reach over $1,000,000 USD for the year of 2006.

The Company's management believes, since the acquisition of Kraft on June 14, 2006, the shift towards the Company's new focus on the photovoltaic industry announced earlier this year has been fully accomplished. The strategic change that has started with the earlier acquisition of Kraft was further realized by the successful fulfillment of different customers' orders, such as EPV, for the delivery of various equipment and components related to manufacturing of thin film photovoltaic modules.
