Solex Resources Corp.: Drilling Commences on Puncopata and Agaton Prospects, Macusani Uranium Project, Southeastern Peru

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - May 11, 2006) - Solex Resources Corp. (TSX VENTURE:SOX) ("Solex" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that drill permit extensions for Puncopata and Agaton targets have been approved by the Peruvian Ministry of Energy and Mines. Diamond core drilling is expected to commence beginning of the week of May 15, 2006. The drilling will assist in establishing potential grade of near surface uranium mineralization.

Frontier Pacific Mining Corporation (TSX VENTURE:FRP) ("Frontier Pacific"), the Operator, is earning a 50% interest in the 50,000 hectare Macusani project by spending US$4 million over five years.

Drilling to date on the Sayana and Calvario I targets suggest that uranium mineralization from surface to depths of at least 50 metres is associated with coarser-grained ignimbrite units with S-type composition. Secondary uranium mineralization occurs as fracture-fillings and minor disseminations and consists of autunite, meta-autunite, weeksite, gummite and minor pitchblende. Assay results from the drilling performed on the Sayana and Calvario I targets are imminent, and will be released on receipt.

The analysis from Macusani drilling is being performed by Activation Laboratories Ltd. ("Actlabs"), Ancaster, Ontario, Canada. Actlabs has a preparation laboratory in Lima, Peru.

Mohan R. Vulimiri, M.Sc., P.Geo., Chairman of Frontier Pacific and Director of Solex, is the person responsible for initiating and guiding the work programs. Brian Malahoff, B.Sc., P.Geo., is responsible for the direct, on-site, supervision of the drilling. Mr. Vulimiri and Mr. Malahoff are qualified persons in accordance with National Instrument 43-101 guidelines. Mr. Vulimiri, is also responsible for the contents in this press release.
