Solitaire Minerals Corp. Property Update

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Jan. 22, 2010) - Solitaire Minerals Corp. (TSX VENTURE:SLT) (Solitaire) announces that Gee-Ten Ventures Inc. (TSX VENTURE:GTV) has decided not to complete the application process with the TSX Venture for its option on the Bienville property. SLT and Gee-Ten Ventures Inc. originally announced on July 22, 2009 that they entered into an Option agreement whereby Gee-Ten could earn a 70% interest in the Bienville Gold/Uranium Property located 130 km northeast of the town of Radisson in the southern James Bay Lowlands, Quebec.

Solitaire will continue to meet its commitments under the Option agreement it entered into May 12, 2009 wherein Solitaire can acquire a 100% interest in the Bienville Gold/Uranium Property. The property is composed of 659 claims in 3 Blocks (to be named Block 1, 2 and 3), comprising an area of 32,850 hectares (81,170 acres).

Furthermore, Solitaire announces that further to its news releases in June 2009, it does not yet have an update on securing a definitive agreement with Acero-Martin related to Solitaire optioning up to a 75% interest in the Pinaya gold/copper deposit located in southern Peru as well as the Minas Lucho property and the La Mamita property. Solitaire has been using its best commercial efforts to negotiate with Acero-Martin to protect its interest in the Pinaya property which includes funds advanced to date and costs it has incurred since the execution of the Letter of Intent.
