Soltoro Completes Las Bolas Mine Area Resource Drilling & Returns 12 Metres of 220 gpt Silver in Highway Zone

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Feb. 16, 2010) - Soltoro Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:SOL) has completed further resource drilling on a portion of the Las Bolas structure at its El Rayo Silver Gold Project in Jalisco State, Mexico. Surface mineralization along the Las Bolas structure has been traced over 2.7 km of which only 1 km has seen resource drilling to date. An estimate of a NI 43-101 compliant silver resource is in progress based on drill results from this 1 km zone. This recent drilling at Las Bolas was successful in increasing the extent of the near-surface oxide silver mineralization to a vertical depth of 150 metres as well as along strike in both directions.

Previously unreported significant intersections from this most recent drilling at Las Bolas are as follows:

Andrew Thomson, President and Chief Executive Officer, stated: "Drilling continues while a NI 43-101 silver resource report on a 1km section of the Las Bolas structure is being prepared. Initial drill results from the 400 metre long Highway Zone have been returned with similar mineralized oxide silver grades. The Highway Zone had previously never been drill tested and represents a new discovery and adds to the silver resource potential of the Las Bolas structure."

At the El Rayo property, over five kilometres of mineralized strike length has been defined within the intersecting El Rayo and Las Bolas zones. The Highway Zone is an offset of the Las Bolas zone, located close to where these two main zones cross. Recent trenching and mapping by Soltoro has defined a 400 metre mineralized strike length. Assay results have been received from the first five holes drilled at the Highway Zone which cover 250 metres of strike length. Four of these five holes returned significant intersections, as follows:

Section Drill Structure From: To: Interval: Silver:
Line: Hole:         (gpt)
H7S RC75 Highway Zone 22.5 69 46.5 75
  including   28.5 51 22.5 88
H2S RC77 Highway Zone 9 28.5 19.5 92
  including   10.5 19.5 9 141
H5S RC78 Highway Zone 15 51 36 74
  including   34.5 49.5 15 105
H3S RC79 Highway Zone 60 72 12 220
  including   64.5 66 1.5 978

Since commencing drilling on the Highway Zone in January 2010, a total of 13 holes have been completed over 450 metres of strike extent. Assay results from the remaining 12 holes are pending. A map showing the placement of the Highway Zone drill holes can be found at:

A single RC drill hole has been completed at the north end of the El Rayo structure gold zone twinning a prior diamond drill hole with a significant intercept of 37.5 metres of 1.78 gpt gold. RC drilling in late 2009 in the El Rayo gold zone encountered significant water and results from this twinned hole will be used to establish whether diamond or reverse circulation drilling is required to test the southern portion of the El Rayo gold zone. The drill has been moved back to the Las Bolas structure where five drill holes at 200 metre spacings are being completed to test for further ore shoots north east along strike. This portion of the Las Bolas structure has never been drill tested. In early 2010, trenching identified anomalous silver in veins all along this northern extension. The drill will then be moved back to the Highway Zone to further test the better mineralized sections at depth.

Assaying from this program was completed by ALS Chemex through their office in Guadalajara, Mexico. Gold was analyzed using a 30g fire assay with AA finish while the silver is analyzed using a four acid "near total" digestion package. Mr. Terence J. Bottrill, P.Eng., a consultant, member of the advisory board of the Company and a qualified person as defined by NI 43- 101 has reviewed the contents of this press release. Field supervision of the El Rayo project is provided by Mr. Chris Lloyd, M.Sc., Vice President, Exploration.
