Solution Beacon Secures Cover Articles for OAUG's Insight Magazine

SEATTLE, WA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- November 16, 2006 --Solution Beacon holds the esteemed honor of having two articles showcased on the cover of the Oracle Application User Group's Insight magazine, as well as an additional article featured inside the popular user group publication.

In April of 2006, Paul Cypher's cover article, "Business Process Management - The Tie That Binds Applications Together," examines how business process management (BPM), having evolved over the past 15 years, has finally reached a level of maturity where organizations are now abolishing functional silos to allow the enterprise-wide flow of business processes. BPEL replaces the old, manual system of coordinating activities in a company and improves functionality and effectiveness through modeling, documentation, certification, collaboration, automation and compliancy to minimize costly errors.

John Stouffer's article, "The Rapid Migration Approach to the Latest 11i Release," highlighted in the Summer 2006 issue, outlines the steps for a fast, clean and fully supported approach to upgrading to the latest 11i Release. Historically, the traditional approach has been to apply the latest release maintenance pack on top of previous installs or maintenance packs. This traditional upgrade methodology leads to very complex, customer-specific, hybrid Release 11i environments with multiple technology components at various release levels based on the prerequisites required for the latest maintenance pack. Mr. Stouffer states that the major benefit from the "rapid migration" approach versus the traditional "maintenance pack" approach is to have the resulting upgraded environment as close as possible to a "fresh" installation of the same release.

The current Fall 2006 cover features Randy Giefer's "Release 11i Security - Keeping the Bad Guys Away." Terrorism, Identity theft, 9/11... it's no longer a safe world, and corporate data needs to be protected from not only the external bad guys, but also the internal ones as well. Mr. Giefer explains numerous ways to quickly and easily improve the security of your Release 11i environment and protect your valuable data. With minimal effort required to implement, substantial security benefits can be obtained.
