Soulo Communications Wins Three Graphic Design USA Awards

National Awards Recognize Diversity of Small Firm

MINNEAPOLIS, MN--(Marketwire - October 7, 2008) - Soulo Communications was honored with three wins in the 2008 American Graphic Design Awards. Two awards were for children's book design; the winners were "Black Bear, Loon, & Walleye," which won for cover design, and "Until We Meet Again," for interior design and layout. Both are illustrated children's books that have been steady sellers. "Until We Meet Again" was also one of three finalists for a Benjamin Franklin Award, an esteemed American book award regarded as the highest national honor in independent publishing administered by the Independent Book Publishers Association.

Soulo Communications' third award was for Catholic Eldercare's 2007 Annual Report, and honored the design and layout of the sixteen-page booklet. This was the first award Catholic Eldercare has received for any print material produced in its long history as a senior services provider.

The American Graphic Design Awards are sponsored and judged by Graphic Design USA and receive over 10,000 submissions annually. The awards showcase outstanding new design work and are open to everyone in the design community, from individual designers to major advertising agencies.

"These are tremendous honors," said Tom Heller, president of Soulo Communications. "They reflect the care and craftsmanship we put into every job, and are a real testament to the skill of our designers and our team."

This is the first time Soulo Communications has entered the American Graphic Design Awards competition.
