SoundHound Revolutionizes Mobile Music Search

MELODIS Corporation Announced the Launch of SoundHound, a Revolutionary Mobile Music Search Experience With the World's Fastest, Most Versatile Music Identifier, Instant Lyrics, iPod and Pandora Integration, and SoundHound's Exclusive Underplayed Chart

SAN JOSE, CA--(Marketwire - December 8, 2009) - Pioneering sound search technology and applications innovator, MELODIS Corporation, announced the launch of SoundHound, a revolutionary mobile music search experience with the world's fastest, most versatile music identifier, instant lyrics, iPod and Pandora integration, and SoundHound's exclusive Underplayed chart.

The App allows iPhone users to identify music that they hear from a speaker -- in as little as five seconds! It also works if users sing or hum the tune, or say or type the title or artist. The industry-leading speed comes from sub-second processing in MELODIS' proprietary Sound2Sound Search Science. SoundHound is the new name for version 3.0 of the Midomi application for iPhone, and existing users will receive the upgrade free of charge.

The new application includes a number of industry-leading features:

-- Fast identification: Find the name of a song in as little as five
seconds when holding an iPhone up to a speaker -- perfect for catching the
end of a song. It also works for identifying iPod songs with missing title
or artist info, and even works on a user's sung or hummed searches.
-- Lyrics: Search and display lyrics for identified songs and songs in
    the user's iPod.
-- Full iPod integration: See SoundHound's supercharged artist info like
bios and top songs for iPod songs. Also, when SoundHound search results
match a song in the user's iPod library, an iPod icon displays right there
to allow instant iPod playback. When checking out an artist's top songs,
users can easily see the songs they own and those they don't.
-- Charts including Underplayed: See the Hottest songs with trending
indicators, and SoundHound's much-anticipated "Underplayed" chart: a list
of songs getting grabbed much more on SoundHound than they are played on
the radio -- a SoundHound exclusive that brings users classics,
    discoveries, and new hits!
-- Music browsing: For any song, users can instantly access free
previews, full length YouTube videos, similar artists, top artist songs,
bios, and full album info. Convenient options to bookmark, share, and buy
songs make music exploration easier than ever before.
-- Pandora integration: SoundHound is the first App in the world to allow
the instant launch of a Pandora station based on any song or artist.
-- Groundbreaking design: Beautiful animations, intuitive layout, and
incredible responsiveness combine to bring the user an exhilarating mobile
    music search experience.

"A product of our passion for continuous innovation, SoundHound has leapfrogged its competitors and become the most powerful music exploration app in the world," said Keyvan Mohajer, Chief Executive Officer of MELODIS Corporation.
