South African Police Service in Evaluation Stage of Security With Advanced Technology's SWAT-C8 Less-Lethal Pistol and New PAVA Projectiles

WESTMINSTER, CO--(Marketwire - October 31, 2007) - Security With Advanced Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ: SWAT), an emerging provider of security products and services, announced today that initial demo units of its new SWAT-C8 less-lethal pistols are in evaluation by the South African Police Service (SAPS) in combination with SWAT's new more potent proprietary PAVA projectiles.

"This is an international opportunity with great potential for our growing less-lethal product line," said Scott Sutton, president of Security With Advanced Technology. "South Africa is among the growing list of markets that are showing a significant interest in our less-lethal products. With their multi phase deterrent and range, our new launchers and proprietary projectiles are a tough system to beat, and one that we believe can lead this market opportunity."

The new SWAT-C8 and proprietary PAVA projectiles will be tested extensively in the riotous "Hillsbrow" area of Johannesburg through January. The evaluation process includes daily service deployments and extensive range testing and evaluation.

The SWAT-C8 launcher is a pistol-sized less-lethal device that shoots up to eight .68 caliber PAVA filled projectiles at 400 feet per second. The SWAT-C8's proprietary PAVA filled projectiles are less-lethal and utilize a multiple deterrent system. The suspect, if hit with the PAVA projectile, will experience three different deterrents; a loud bang when the SWAT-C8 is fired, pain from the impact causing a welt and bruising, and a strong chemical reaction causing a suspect's breathing and vision to be temporarily impaired. With accuracy up to 75 feet, the SWAT-C8 generates an industry leading range for safe compliance and stopping power over conventional stun guns and pepper spray products currently being sold. The SWAT-C8's unique rapid change magazine design houses both a disposable CO2 canister and 8 PAVA projectiles.

The SAPS was established in 1994 and currently has over 132,000 sworn officers and over 44,000 reservists ranking it as one of the world's largest single police agencies.
