Southridge Announces Ethanol Plant Construction to Commence

DALLAS, TX -- (MARKET WIRE) -- December 7, 2006 -- Southridge Enterprises Inc. (OTCBB: SORD) ("Southridge" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that Southridge Ethanol Inc., the wholly owned subsidiary of the Company, has now executed a definitive contract with Agri Systems, a U.S. ethanol consulting and engineering firm, whereby Agri-Systems has been commissioned to construct an ethanol plant at the Company's Quitman County, Mississippi industrial facility. The plant will be constructed at a cost of $15,000,000 and will be capable of producing 10,000,000 gallons per year of denatured ethanol. The Company is now seeking the required permits and regulatory approvals to allow the process to proceed as expeditiously as possible.

Mr. Alex Smid, the Company's President, states "This contract for the initiation of formal plant construction at our Sledge, Mississippi industrial facility is a milestone in the advancement of Southridge. We are now on track to produce and sell our ethanol products by mid 2007. Based upon our discussions and meetings with authorities, coupled with the high level of cooperation indicated, we feel that our immediate goals and future expansion plans are very attainable."
