Speakers at ELX 2008 to Spotlight Changes, Innovations in Consumer Electronics

First-Of-Its-Kind Electronics Event Issues Call for Speakers on Social Media, Connected Home, Mobile and Wireless, Home Entertainment, Computing, Photography, Automotive Technology and Gaming Topics

BOSTON, MA--(Marketwire - October 30, 2007) - Electronic Living Expo Boston 2008 - Living Expositions Inc. today announced the call for speakers for Electronic Living Expo Boston 2008 (ELX 2008), the first step toward a dynamic online and onsite discussion of topics that capture the evolving consumer electronics market.

Scheduled for Feb. 15-17, ELX 2008 is expected to attract more than 30,000 consumers and exhibitors from across the consumer electronics industry.

ELX 2008 has identified nine tracks covering a broad spectrum of products and technologies, and is seeking industry experts and educated consumers with experience in the following areas of interest to share their insights:

--  Home and Personal Computing
--  Wireless Technologies
--  Home Entertainment
--  Automotive
--  Gaming
--  Video/Photography
--  Social Media "Unconference"

In addition to presentations, panel discussions and how-to workshops, the exposition's social media "unconference" track will give consumers the opportunity to suggest, participate in and lead sessions of their choice on subjects that matter to them.

Speakers and exhibitors at ELX 2008 will have the opportunity to engage their audiences well before the event begins: Living Expositions will soon be unveiling its social networking site that will allow speakers, technologists and consumer electronics professionals to interact with event attendees before and after the show. These online and onsite discussions will help consumers gain more insight into emerging and existing technologies, and help consumer electronics companies gain a better understanding of the needs and concerns of their customers.

Conference organizers are currently accepting abstracts for how-to workshops, presentations, panel discussions and "birds-of-a-feather" sessions that educate consumers on one of the many aspects of consumer electronics.

Living Expositions, the organizers of the Boston event, are planning similar shows across the US in 2008, reaching out to a broader base of consumers, manufacturers and retailers.

ELX 2008 proposal submissions should specify the name, title and company of the speaker; the track and format (workshop, presentation, panel or birds-of-a-feather session) of the session; and a title and outline of the proposed presentation.

Submissions for how-to workshops, presentations and panel discussions are due by November 20, 2007. Submissions for birds-of-a-feather sessions will remain open past this date.
