Spectral Introduces Process Independent Reference Design IP for Memory Compilers Targeted for 20 nm and Lower Technologies

Memory Compilation, Reference Designs (Models/Symbols/Schematics/Netlists), IC Designers, Embedded Memory Library Developers

SOMERVILLE, NJ--(Marketwired - Jun 1, 2014) - Spectral Design & Test Inc. today announced design kits that complement the industry's most advanced Memory Development Platform (MDP) accelerating memory design & compiler development at advanced technology nodes. Memory library developers spend a substantial amount of time building Front End (FE) views for chip designers so that they can get an early start on design planning and execution. A combination of the design kits in conjunction with the industry's most advanced software tools can help create a very accurate layout abstracts, timing, power and datasheet views with minimal amount of effort. Spectral MDP tools namely MemoryCanvas, MemoryTime & MemComp are deployed across the globe offering memory designers a comprehensive EDA platform to design circuits in the 20/16/14 nm process nodes. The design kits will support Single & Dual Port SRAM, RegisterFile & ROM architectures. "High performance & low power memory designs in advanced technologies require extremely accurate power, timing and layout abstract views, this is an absolute necessity for silicon success," said Deepak Mehta President & CEO at Spectral Design & Test Inc. "Spectral works very closely with its eco system partners to ensure our EDA/IP solutions meet the high standards set by our mutual customers."
