Spirent Communications Honors Solectron With 2004
Supplier of the Year Award; Results Driven by
Solectron's Lean Principles and Employee Dedication

MILPITAS, Calif.--(CCNMatthews - May 6, 2005) -

Solectron Corporation (NYSE:SLR), a leading provider of electronics
manufacturing and integrated supply chain services, said today its
FinePitch Technology business received a 2004 Supplier of the Year Award
from Spirent Communications (NYSE:SPM). Spirent, a global provider of
integrated performance analysis and service assurance systems,
recognized FinePitch for improving Spirent's production quality and
increasing their productivity.

enhancements in our production due to the implementation of Lean
manufacturing principles," said Ray Texeira, vice president of
Operations for Spirent.

Solectron provides Spirent with material procurement, inventory
management, new product introduction (NPI) with design for manufacturing
(DFM) services on next generation chassis along with line cards, printed
circuit board assembly and systems build services on SmartBits chassis.
