SpringCM Cloud ECM Completes SAS 70 Type II Certification

In-Depth Audit of Controls and Processes Helps Customers Meet Compliance Requirements

CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwire - June 17, 2010) -  SpringCM® today announced it has received Statement on Auditing Standards No. 70, Service Organizations, Type II certification for the development and operation of the SpringCM cloud platform for enterprise content management (ECM), following an audit by a nationally recognized audit firm. SAS 70 Type II certification can help SpringCM customers control the costs of regulatory compliance such as Sarbanes-Oxley, as well as offer assurance that SpringCM has established effective internal controls to ensure the highest levels of security and reliability to its customers.

SAS 70 is an internationally recognized auditing standard developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). A SAS 70 Type II audit is an in-depth analysis of a service organization's control over information technology and related processes. It can be required by public companies for compliance requirements or for companies that want assurance that a service organization's processes, procedures and controls described in the report have been formally reviewed and are operating effectively.

"Our SAS 70 Type II certification provides an independent, third party verification that we are meeting or exceeding our customers' needs with appropriate safeguards in place to assure customer confidentiality, integrity and availability of the SpringCM platform," said Schalk Theron, VP of Operations for SpringCM.
