Standard Chartered Bank Leader Wins Information Security Executive (ISE) United Kingdom and Ireland Award 2007

ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwire - October 4, 2007) - Executive Alliance, creator and provider of

the winners of the ISE United Kingdom and Ireland Awards 2007.
Dr John Meakin, Group Head of Information Security at Standard Chartered
Bank was selected by the judges to win the United Kingdom and Ireland 2007
Executive of the Year Award. Dr Meakin was recognized for his leadership
and innovative approach to information security. He and eleven other
nominees from Great Britain were honoured at a ceremony held during the ISE
United Kingdom and Ireland Awards Gala in London, England.
Colin Clark, Head of Corporate Business Control at Somerfield Stores
Limited, was named the ISE United Kingdom and Ireland Project Award Winner
for 2007. He received this accolade for his outstanding achievement and
leadership while successfully completing an IT security project in the last
12 to 18 months.
Three ISE Finalists, including Dr Meakin and Mr Clark were showcased during
the evening event. The other finalist was Adrian Asher, Global Head of
Information Security, Betfair.
The awards gala was preceded by the ISE Executive Forum, an interactive
platform that allowed the executives to discuss issues at the forefront of
their business priorities. The ISE Forum was moderated by prominent
industry leaders from Idaho National Lab, USA -- Michael J. Assante,
Infrastructure Protection Strategist / Business Manager, National &
Homeland Security and Aaron Turner, CISSP, CISM, Cyber Security Strategist,
National & Homeland Security.
