State Visit to Europe: Footage and Photos of the Governor General's Activities Today in Budapest (Hungary) now Available to Media

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Nov. 24, 2008) - The following footage and photos of the Governor General's activities today in Budapest, Hungary, have been posted and are now available to media:

About the State visit in Europe

At the request of the Right Honourable Stephen Harper, Prime Minister of Canada, Her Excellency the Right Honourable Michaelle Jean, Governor General of Canada, along with her husband, His Excellency Jean-Daniel Lafond, are conducting a State visit to the Republic of Hungary, the Slovak Republic, the Czech Republic and the Republic of Slovenia, from November 24 to December 6, 2008.

This State visit will highlight, among other things, democratic transition in the four countries, our historic and cultural ties, our growing trade relationships, and our joint participation in NATO missions, especially the reconstruction efforts in Afghanistan.
