State of Alaska Expands Contract for WCC's Satellite Communication Solutions

Success of First 18 Months Prompted Extension of Contract

CHANDLER, AZ -- (MARKET WIRE) -- October 31, 2005 --World Communications Center (WCC), a leading provider of global satellite voice and data communications, today announced that the State of Alaska has renewed its contract with WCC to supply satellite communication services for the state government and state agencies. According to the terms of the agreement, the contract contains renewal options for up to five years.

Leveraging Iridium's comprehensive statewide coverage and low Iridium-to-Iridium rates, WCC assisted the State of Alaska in standardizing all state government and agency users by transitioning to the Iridium system in 2004 and 2005. As the transition progressed, Alaska's need for satellite communications significantly increased, prompting the extension of the contract.

"The successful deployment of WCC's integrated Iridium global satellite technology has helped to ensure reliable telephony services state-wide, even at high latitudes and extremely remote locations. WCC's highly competitive pricing and their ability to meet our stringent customer service level requirements were key factors in the contract renewal and expansion," says Stan Herrera, Director of Enterprise Technology Services, State of Alaska.

WCC will continue to supply Iridium voice and data services including text messaging, paging, short burst data (SBD), and standard Iridium data connections, as well as options for the latest tracking and remote monitoring services.
