Statement by the Honourable Gary Lunn, Minister of State (Sport), Congratulating Canadian Gold Medallist at the Alpine World Cup

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Dec. 29, 2009) - On December 19, Manuel Osborne-Paradis won a gold medal at the Alpine World Cup in Val Gardena, Italy.

Sport is a defining part of Canada's identity. Every gold medal won by our Canadian athletes brings us together in celebration and pride and inspires all Canadians to strive to be their very best.

Our Government recognizes the hard work and dedication of our athletes.
