Steefel, Levitt & Weiss Expands San Francisco Office With Associate Hires

Former Kaiser Executive Joins Firm

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - October 15, 2007) - Law firm Steefel, Levitt & Weiss announced today the addition of five new attorneys to the firm's San Francisco office. The move adds three associates to Steefel's litigation group, as well as one member to both the Business and Tax and the Real Estate and Financial Services groups.

The incoming group includes Business and Tax group associate Susan Porth, associate litigators Amanda Knudsen, Ross Naughton, and Erin Stagg, and Grace Yang, an associate in the Real Estate and Financial Services group. Four of the new associates join Steefel after having participated in the firm's summer internship program.

"I've been a consumer of legal services for decades and had responsibility for a 30-person legal department at Kaiser for several years," said Susan Porth, a member of the incoming class who served in various executive positions at United Behavioral Health, the Kaiser Foundation Health Plan, Inc. and Kaiser Foundation Hospitals prior to attending law school. --  Susan Porth, an associate in the Business & Tax Group who received her
    J.D. from University of California, Berkeley, Boalt Hall School of Law in
    2007. She received her M.B.A. from Harvard Business School in 1972.
    
--  Amanda Knudsen, an associate in the Litigation Group who received her
    J.D. from Harvard Law School in 2007.
    
--  Ross Naughton, an associate in the Litigation Group who received his
    J.D. from UCLA School of Law in 2007.
    
--  Erin Stagg, an associate in the Litigation Group who received her J.D.
    from University of California, Berkeley, Boalt Hall School of Law in 2007.
    
--  Grace Yang, an associate in the Real Estate and Financial Services
    Group who received her J.D. from University of California, Hastings College
    of the Law in 2005. Prior to joining Steefel, Grace practiced at the law
    firm of Husch & Eppenberger.
