Stoneware, Inc. Announces the Private Cloud Computing Program for Cooperative Services Organizations (CSO)

INDIANAPOLIS, IN--(Marketwire - January 14, 2010) - Stoneware, Inc. announces the immediate availability of the Private Cloud Computing Program for Cooperative Services organizations. The Private Cloud Program for Cooperative Services Organizations (CSO) is designed for IT organizations (CSO) that manage, procure, or consolidate IT (information technology) resources for member entities in the public sector. This program is designed to accelerate the organization's move toward private cloud computing by enabling the delivery of information services and resources to member organizations via a private cloud computing framework.

Montgomery County Intermediate Unit is an example of an organization leveraging the program to provide a vast array of effective and efficient services that meet the educational and social service needs of Montgomery County's 200-plus schools and the Pennsylvania Department of Education.

"Stoneware's private cloud technology, with the webOS desktop, single sign-on, and the other rich features provides a single, integrated, affordable solution that will allow us to move legacy systems and other IT tasks into the cloud and allows the schools to focus on the education of students in the classroom. To be able to deliver all of these services through a browser is insanely exciting," Sheldon Wedemeyer, Technical Services Mgr.

"We are pleased to have MCIU join our newly created Private Cloud Computing program. We created this program to enable intermediate units, county offices of education, BOCES, centralized IT for universities, and other public entities who are providing IT services to member organizations to take full advantage of the Stoneware private cloud technology. Private cloud computing is exploding and these central processing organizations are well positioned to deploy the technology internally as well as to offer a hosted private cloud for their membership," Todd Gibbs, VP Strategic Sales, Stoneware Inc.
