World's Largest Stormwater Pollution Prevention Conference

SANTA BARBARA, CA--(Marketwire - November 6, 2007) - StormCon, the world's largest stormwater conference, is seeking abstracts for the seventh annual StormCon, the North American Surface Water Quality Conference & Exposition, to be held August 3-7, 2008, at the Orlando World Center Marriott in Orlando, FL. StormCon draws thousands of public, state, and federal officials; engineers; compliance officers; and construction and industry professionals, who are seeking solutions to stormwater pollution challenges, each year.

StormCon '08 will feature seven conference tracks: BMP Case Studies, The Construction Site and Stormwater: Compliance, The Construction Site and Stormwater: BMPs, Low-Impact Development, Research and Testing of BMPs/Technical Issues, Stormwater Program Management, and Water-Quality Monitoring.

Presenters in 2007 included stormwater experts from leading civil engineering firms such as AMEC, Black & Veatch, Brown and Caldwell, CH2M Hill, EDAW, Geosyntec, HDR Engineering, Malcolm Pirnie, PBS&J, Tetra Tech, URS Corporation, Weston Solutions, and Woolpert; stormwater research centers such as the University of New Hampshire Stormwater Center, University of California at Davis Center for Environmental and Water Resources Engineering, University of Florida at Gainesville Civil and Environmental Engineering Department, USDA Center for Urban Forestry Research, University of Arizona Office of Water, and University of Georgia Marine Extension Service; and municipal, state, and federal government departments, including the USEPA Office of Wastewater, USDA-ARS, Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, Arizona Department of Transportation, City of Denton, City of Santa Monica, City of Toledo, City of Tucson, and St. Paul Capitol Region Watershed District.
