MILAN, ITALY--(Marketwire - December 1, 2008) - Strempel & Partners, a Corporate Finance firm based in Milan, announces the successful acquisition by its client Vétoquinol of 100 percent of the shares of Ascor Chimici Srl, which became effective today.

The acquisition allows Vétoquinol, a veterinary pharmaceutical laboratory based in France, to considerably expand its position in the Italian market, the fifth largest in Europe. Vétoquinol supplies products in 5 continents with a network of subsidiaries in 15 countries and distributors in over 80. Through this last acquisition the company will be able to expand its market share in Italy and to offer a wider range of products.

Ascor Chimici, founded in 1969, is a manufacturer of antibiotic medicines and medicated premixes for cattle, swine and poultry. An important player in the animal production and health sector in Italy, Ascor Chimici had sales of 21.4 million euros in 2007 and employs 63 persons. By virtue of sales success in many different countries, Ascor Chimici will enable Vétoquinol to expand the range of products that can be exported in the global market.
