Michigan @ Ohio State Holds Strong at Number One -- Single Tickets Averaging Nearly $900

SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- October 30, 2006 -- This week's StubHub Top 25 Rivalry Rankings show the Michigan - Ohio State game in the top spot for the second consecutive week. The annual grudge match to be played on November 18th in Columbus, Ohio might be one of the most publicized in the rivalry's long history.

Currently ranked nos. 1 and 2 in the latest BCS standings, the Wolverines and Buckeyes are on a collision course for what will undoubtedly be the next "Game of the Century." Ticket buyers have already purchased hundreds of tickets at the StubHub marketplace for an astounding average price of $883 a piece. The average ticket selling price is more than $250 over this year's average World Series ticket price ($624) and overall sales have already increased 183% from the 2005 game. The minimum offering price is $745 as of today with some 50 yd seats being offered near $5000.

Notre Dame and USC again occupy the second slot in the Top 25 for their game November 25th in Los Angeles. The Trojans' 27-game Pac-10 win streak came to an end last Saturday in a surprise upset by the Oregon State Beavers. The Fighting Irish handled Navy to extend their streak against the Midshipmen. Both teams continue to be ranked in the top 10 of the national polls and demand for the game continues as strong as ever, up 60% from 2005.

The Texas - Oklahoma "Red River Shootout" remains at number three with the annual "Iron Bowl" between the Auburn Tigers and Alabama Crimson Tide moving up one spot to four. Michigan State @ Michigan drops to the fifth best selling rivalry game this season with the remainder of the top 10 experiencing limited movement.

The StubHub Top 25 Rivalry Rankings list the traditional college rivalry game tickets that are in highest demand. As sales fluctuate due to pre-game hype and team performance, a new Top 25 list will be released every Monday until the conclusion of the regular season (Games will be ranked based on gross ticket sales activity through StubHub.com). This year an additional data point has been added -- Rivalry Game Demand Change. Based on total gross sales, this percentage is the change between each respective rivalry game, compared with their 2005 total sales.

Rankings are expected to change weekly based on the importance of each game and the overall performance of one or both teams. Once a game has been played it still may rank on the list based on the total sales activity for that game. For example, Michigan @ Ohio State could outsell all other games this season and therefore rank number one many weeks after it has been played.
