Substantial Weight Loss Achieved With Resistant Starch Technology in EIROfit System

DALLAS, TX--(Marketwire - February 5, 2010) - EIRO Research, a Dallas-based nutritional company, reports that end-users of the EIROfit system, which incorporates a resistant starch technology, have experienced substantial weight loss since the products were introduced last year. Participants in a pilot field test lost an average of 18 pounds in eight weeks, with some participants losing up to 43 pounds in eight weeks.

"While significant weight loss can only be achieved through use of a comprehensive system of products, diet and exercise, we believe a primary reason for the efficacy of EIROfit is the use of resistant starch technology in the EIRO Lean shake," said Chris Hausman, CEO of EIRO Research. "To our knowledge, the EIRO Lean shake is the first meal replacement shake to incorporate resistant starch."

David Rahm, MD, chief medical officer of EIRO Research commented, "Resistant starches are not digested by the small intestine and have been shown to promote satiety. The result is that consumers feel fuller longer, and eat fewer calories throughout the day."

In an eight week pilot field test of the EIROfit system, 25 participants lost a total of 467 pounds, or an average of 18 pounds each. Some participants in the study continued on the program and have lost in excess of 50 pounds. "The system has been easy to use, and the results are astounding. I was surprised to find that I wasn't hungry between meals and had plenty of energy for daily exercise," says Ken Haveman, a pilot study participant who lost 42.6 pounds and 18.68% total body weight after being on the system for 8 weeks.
