$300,000 Single Day Target Set for National Fundraising Day 2006 for Special Olympics Canada at SUBWAY® Restaurants

WHO: Special Olympics Canada, SUBWAY® Restaurants across Canada
and Canadians coast-to-coast.

WHAT: More than $300,000 is expected to be raised on May 18th during
SUBWAY® Restaurants' second national fundraising day for
Special Olympics Canada. A portion of sales of each SUBWAY®
sandwich and Coca-Cola beverage product will go to support
Special Olympics athletes and programs across Canada.

WHERE: At more than 2,100 local SUBWAY Restaurants across Canada

The funds raised on Special Olympics Day at SUBWAY® will be used to further develop Special Olympics Canada's grassroots programs in the local communities from coast-to-coast. Seventy-five percent of the funds will stay in the local community in which the money was raised. The other 25% will be devoted to Special Olympics Canada's work in staging National Games including the July 2006 Games in Brandon, Manitoba and in preparing Team Canada to represent the country on the world stage. Last year more than $280,000 was raised from SUBWAY® Special Olympics Day.

Subway's participation in this fundraising day is part of the national "Subway Support and Share™" program that directly benefits local communities across Canada.

Special Olympics Canada enriches the lives of Canadians with an intellectual disability through participation in sport. This national not-for-profit organization provides sport training and competition opportunities for over 31,000 athletes of all ages and abilities.
