New Version 5.0 Delivers New Antispam Engine and User Interface Enhancements

CLEARWATER, FL--(Marketwire - January 16, 2008) - Sunbelt Software, a leading provider of Windows security and management software, today announced a major upgrade of its best-selling antispam software, iHateSpam. The new version 5.0 adds a completely new antispam engine that delivers comprehensive antispam and antiphishing protection for Microsoft Outlook along with user interface enhancements that make the product easier to install with no configuration required.

iHateSpam is an add-on component that integrates spam and fraud-blocking features into the Outlook email client, giving users the power to filter email so that only legitimate email messages are received. Because iHateSpam is able to quickly respond to changes in spammer techniques, the majority of existing and new spam attacks are blocked while also minimizing the blocking of legitimate email.

New antispam engine with real time protection

Purchase price is $19.95 and includes one year of free spam updates, software upgrades, and live US-based technical support. Renewals for subsequent annual subscriptions are available for $9.98. The upgrade to iHateSpam 5.0 is free to all existing customers of iHateSpam who have a current subscription plan.

iHateSpam 5.0 supports Outlook 2000, XP, 2003, and 2007. Support for Outlook Express 5 and above and Thunderbird will be available by the end of first quarter 2008. The product supports Windows 2000, XP, and Vista.
