Suncor included on Dow Jones Sustainability Index for ninth year

Calgary, Alberta (September 7, 2007) — Suncor Energy Inc. has been named to the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index for the ninth consecutive year.
The Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes (DJSI) track the financial performance of the leading sustainability-driven companies worldwide based on a review of economic, social and environmental criteria. Suncor is one of only 10 Canadian companies named to the 2007 World Index and one of 20 oil and gas companies worldwide.

"Suncor is proud to have been included on the DJSI every year since its inception in 1999," said Gord Lambert, Suncor's vice president of sustainable development. "Suncor's continued presence on this index demonstrates our ongoing commitment to sustainability."
