Sunny Sanyal Named Chief Operating Officer of McKesson Provider Technologies

ATLANTA, GA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- December 7, 2006 -- McKesson, the world's leading healthcare services company, recently named Sunny Sanyal as chief operating officer of McKesson Provider Technologies (MPT), a unit of McKesson Corp. Sanyal, previously group president for Clinical Solutions, now provides leadership for all of MPT's North American operations under a new organizational structure based on high-growth market segments. These segments include health systems, physician offices and other ambulatory settings, medical imaging, automation, and consumer technologies. The new structure is designed to leverage McKesson's leadership position as an innovator in healthcare technology and workflow automation and accelerate the introduction of new products into strategic market segments.

"Sunny has a track record of driving successful user adoption by leading his teams to improve the quality, speed and delivery of our ambulatory, imaging and clinical solutions. He is results-oriented, a strong team player and eminently qualified to lead our operations," said Pamela Pure, president of McKesson Provider Technologies. "By orienting our business around the needs of high-growth markets, Sunny and the executive management team have a pragmatic framework to drive safer care, better outcomes and higher performance from the hospital to the physician office to the home."

Sanyal joined McKesson in 2004. Under his leadership, the company has achieved volume deployment of its Horizon Clinicals® solutions and cut implementation times by nearly 50 percent to accelerate time to value and improve customer satisfaction. HorizonWP® Physician Portal logins have more than tripled to 3.5 million each month. Also, nearly 2 million clinical users rely on Horizon Clinicals® solutions to chart patient care and review patients' problems, allergies and other medical information. With close to 1,000 hospitals now live on Horizon Medical Imaging, Sanyal has propelled McKesson into a clear market leadership position in enterprise image management solutions. Under his direction, Horizon Ambulatory Care received CCHIT certification and continues to gain market share rapidly in the ambulatory care segment. In addition to success in market penetration, his passion for building customers for life has led to further increase in customer satisfaction across the board.

"I'm both honored and excited to take on this new challenge," said Sanyal. "There is a tremendous momentum in the business driven by great products, a solid roadmap, and a strong leadership team. The breadth and depth of our current solutions, the intellectual capital in our customer base, and the resources of a Fortune 16 company position us very well to advance from being a leader in healthcare IT to a clear category of one. McKesson's 360-degree view of healthcare drives our vision. Organizing around market segments and innovating with customers will enable us to create that vision -- a future with more efficient and connected healthcare."
