Sunridge Gold Appoints New Directors at Company's AGM

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - Jan. 19, 2007) - Sunridge Gold Corp. (TSX VENTURE:SGC) reports on the Company's Annual and Special Meeting held January 18, 2007 in Vancouver. Sunridge Gold welcomes two newly elected directors to the Board, increasing the Board to seven members. The new Board members are Mr. Richard Clark and Mr. Henry David Kennedy. Richard Clark is the second nominee director of Lundin Mining appointed to Sunridge's Board. Mr. Kennedy is the second nominee Director of Sub-Sahara Resources NL. As of December 6, 2006, Lundin Mining Corporation owned 16% of the issued shares of Sunridge Gold. All other business of the meeting was approved.

Richard Clark: Mr. Clark is the President, Chief Executive Officer and a Director of Red Back Mining Inc. as well as being a director of numerous publicly traded companies including Sanu Resources Ltd. and Corriente Resources Inc. Mr. Clark practiced mining and securities law in Vancouver from 1987 to 1993 before becoming actively involved in the management of mineral exploration and development companies.

Henry David Kennedy: Mr. Kennedy is a director and officer of several publicly traded companies in Australia and New Zealand including Sub-Sahara Resources NL and Chairman of Norwest Energy NL and Pancontinental Oil and Gas NL.

The current Board consists of Michael Hopley, President and Chief Executive Officer, Craig Angus, non-executive Chairman Doris Meyer, Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary, Mike Griffiths, Karl-Axel Waplan, Richard Clark, and David Kennedy.
