Swinton Bikes Back Think! Campaign

MANCHESTER, UNITED KINGDOM--(Marketwire - March 2, 2010) - Swinton Bikes is giving its backing to a bold new Think! campaign designed to save lives on the road.

Swinton Bikes, the UK's leading high street retailer of motorcycle insurance hopes the campaign will reduce the number of motorcyclist deaths in the UK. Despite only accounting for 1% of traffic, motorcyclists make up 19% of deaths on British roads.

The TV advert, which airs from Monday 1st March will show bikers with flashing neon signs attached to their bikes showing their name and personality traits. A voiceover at the end asks drivers to look out for bikers when they are out driving.

Research carried out by Think! suggests that drivers are more likely to spot a biker on the road if they personally know a biker.

Anthony Aronin, Head of Swinton Bikes said, "The over representation of motorcyclists deaths in road traffic accidents is shocking. We are fully behind this campaign and hope it can reduce the number of motorcyclist fatalities each year."
