TG World Energy Corp. ("TG World") and CNPC International (Tenere) Ltd. ("CNPCIT"), a unit of the China National Petroleum Corporation ("CNPC") are pleased to advise that the Tenere Block seismic acquisition program, operated by CNPCIT is now more than two thirds complete.

CNPCIT has acquired more than 1,080 km of new data, of the minimum 1,500 km program. The 1,080 km mark was reached on May 9, 2005, after commencement of shooting on January 11, 2005.

Responding to ongoing analysis, CNPCIT has advised TG World that it will add 188 additional km of line acquisition to the total program. As per its agreement with CNPCIT, TG World will be carried for the additional cost of the program.

The data is currently being processed at an in-country processing centre that CNPCIT has established in Niamey, the Niger capital. Both companies are pleased with the quality of the data that has been acquired so far.

TG World is independently processing some of the data in Calgary.

"CNPCIT has done a tremendous job in mobilising the financial and technical resources needed to advance this project," said TG World's CEO Clifford M. James. "They have assembled an impressive team of in-house, 'go-getter' Chinese operating personnel as well as a full suite of contractor personnel to leave no stone unturned in pursuing the project in a safe manner and on a fast-track basis. The data will be available on an early schedule, and we look forward to working closely with CNPCIT on the interpretation in the near future."

Added Mr. Tian Wenhui, General Manager of CNPCIT, "We're really proud of the performance of our people in meeting the environmental and logistical challenges of a desert program put together on an aggressive basis. Conditions have been extreme this year and our personnel have applied themselves with great contribution and dedication."

Reviewing technical issues, Mr. Li Gang, CNPCIT Operations Manager, said, "Our Theatre Acquisition Team has put in significant extra work to solve static correction issues and field acquisition challenges. Contractor BGP has worked hard in hot, windy conditions to give us high quality data."

The minimum work program on the Tenere Block consists of 1,500 km seismic acquisition and three exploration wells. Operator CNPCIT holds an 80% interest in the Tenere Permit; TG World holds a 20% Carried Interest.
