THOMSON : Thomson Provides Services for 15 Films Premiering At 2008 Sundance Film Festival

PARIS and BURBANK, CA--(Marketwire - January 21, 2008) - Thomson (Euronext 18453; NYSE: TMS) today announced that its Services division, branded Technicolor, provided services for 15 theatrical features premiering at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival, which takes place until January 24 in Park City, Utah. Sundance remains the preeminent showcase for independent filmmaking, bringing together a remarkable assemblage of films from around the world.

Thomson contributed to films represented in most of the major categories of this year's festival, with postproduction services ranging from front-end negative processing from its laboratories in New York, Los Angeles and Toronto - to digital imaging services such as dailies, previews, digital intermediates and mastering.

Thomson provided theatrical release prints for the festival's opening night attraction, director Martin McDonagh's In Bruges. Under its brand Technicolor, Thomson also provided its services to an array of Dramatic Competition offerings such as director Clark Gregg's Choke; Johan Renck's Downloading Nancy; Daniel Barnz' Phoebe in Wonderland; directors Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck's Sugar; Christine Jeffs' Sunshine Cleaning; and Jonathan Levine's The Wackness.

Thomson supported the following films being showcased in the Premieres section of the festival: Bill Maher's Sleepwalking; Alan Ball's Towelhead; directors Catherine Owens and Mark Pellington's 3-D music documentary U2-3D; Tom McCarthy's The Visitor; Barry Levinson's What Just Happened; and Udayan Prasad's Yellow Handkerchief.

Thomson's industry-leading digital intermediate offerings for the independent film community are featured this year in Choke, Sleepwalking, Sugar; Towelhead, U2-3D; and Yellow Handkerchief.

This level of lab and post production service reinforces Thomson's commitment, under its brand Technicolor, to the independent film community. Technicolor has made several operational and technological investments this past year with an eye on enhancing a high level of client service for the independent film maker.
