TIR Unveils New Brand for lexel'TM'; lexel'TM'-Based Products Displayed at Lightfair

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA--(CCNMatthews - May 30, 2006) - TIR Systems Ltd. (TSX:TIR) unveiled its new look for its lexel™ technology at the opening of Lightfair International in Las Vegas. lexel™ is the first fully integrated Solid State Lighting (SSL) system for white light illumination with the potential to revolutionize the lighting industry and accelerate the migration from conventional light sources to those based on LEDs by delivering performance and features never before possible for both general and specialty lighting applications.

In addition to introducing its new brand, TIR is showcasing its increased focus on its OEM business of supplying light fixture manufacturers with the best SSL technology in the market by displaying the products recently introduced by its partners at recent industry events.
