Industrial Services of America (NASDAQ: IDSA), headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky, recycles scrap alloy (stainless steel), ferrous and non-ferrous metals for sale to steel mini-mills, integrated steel makers, foundries, aluminum sheet and ingot manufacturers, copper refineries and smelters, and brass and bronze ingot manufacturers. From its facilities in Louisville, KY, New Albany and Seymour, IN, Dallas, TX and Mobile, AL, IDSA services 600 customer locations throughout the US. The company also offers waste management consulting services and sells, leases and services waste handling equipment.

Prices for most non-ferrous scrap materials vary according to spot and futures prices as quoted on COMEX or the London Metals Exchange.

The management services business creates customized software-based waste and recycling programs tailored to each customer's needs, locating and contracting with a hauling company and recycler at a reasonable cost for each customer's participating location. IDSA's equipment sales and services business offers sales, rental and maintenance of commercial and industrial waste and recycling handling equipment such as compactors, balers and containers.
