TelPay, CS CO-OP and Alterna Bank Enable On-line
Direct Payment for Tsunami Relief

WINNIPEG, MANITOBA--(CCNMatthews - Jan. 7, 2005) -

Credit Union Members Can Now Make Online Donations Directly from their
Account

The 145,000 members of CS CO-OP / Alterna Bank now have the ability to
aid the Tsunami relief effort by visiting www.cscoop.ca and making an
online donation directly from their chequing account. And for every
dollar donated to the relief organizations listed below, the Canadian
government will match the donation on a dollar for dollar basis.

"World Vision is thrilled that CS CO-OP took the initiative to set up
this service and that World Vision was among the relief organizations
that CS CO-OP chose to support for the Southeast Asian emergency's
response," said Dave Toycen, president, World Vision Canada. "Donations
through TelPay will go along to assist the millions of people left
homeless and vulnerable because of this natural disaster."

By simply logging on to CS CO-OP's online banking site and using
TelPay's e-payment services, members can make a donation to any one of
the following aid organizations;

- Oxfam Canada

- World Vision Canada

- Canadian Red Cross

- Unicef Canada

- Doctors without Borders Canada

Donations are forwarded to the aid organizations the next business day
so donations are put into action immediately. TelPay will donate 100% of
any transaction fees back to the aid organizations.

"TelPay's initiative to facilitate support for our relief work will pay
off in lives saved," said Rieky Stuart, executive director of Oxfam
Canada. "Donations to Oxfam via TelPay will go toward ensuring the most
hard-hit communities of Sri Lanka and Indonesia get clean water and
sanitation."

In order to further the donation reach, TelPay is upgrading another
technology application which will enable Canadians to make over the
counter (OTC) donations at over 200 locations across the country. The
goal is to have this OTC network operating this week, making it easier
for Canadians to offer their aid ongoing.
