Telvent to Supply Control Systems to Manage Endesa Chile's Electric Infrastructure

MADRID, SPAIN -- (MARKET WIRE) -- September 21, 2006 -- Telvent GIT S.A. (NASDAQ: TLVT), the Global RealTime IT Company, announced today that it will provide a control system to manage the electric infrastructures that serve a population of almost two million in the region of Valparaiso in Chile.

The project which is currently being developed by Endesa Chile and which will be operational in the second half of 2007 comprises the expansion of the power lines that will connect the San Luis substation and the Nehuenco and San Isidro combined cycle power plants.

According to Telvent's chairman and chief executive officer, Manuel Sánchez Ortega, "This new project strengthens our position in the energy infrastructure sector in Latin America and also contributes to the normalization and control of electricity supply that is currently underway in Chile."
