Teras Closes $514,900 Financing

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Sept. 24, 2009) - Teras Resources Inc. ("Teras" or "the Company") (TSX VENTURE:TRA): Peter Leger, President and Chief Executive Officer of Teras is pleased to announce that Teras has closed the non-brokered private placement of 4,290,830 units (a "Unit") at a price of $0.12 per unit for gross proceeds of $514,899.92. Each Unit consists of one common share (a "Common Share") and one common share purchase warrant (a "Warrant"). Each Warrant is exercisable into one Common Share at an exercise price of $0.20 per share for a period of two years from the closing date. These securities were issued with a four-month hold period expiring on January 24, 2010.

The private placement was increased from the amount disclosed in the press release of Teras dated August 21, 2009 from 4,166,667 Units to 4,290,830 Units or an increase of total gross proceeds form $500,000 to $514,899.92.

A combined total of $51,490 was paid in finders fees, and Teras issued 36,667 finders warrants exercisable into Common Shares at an exercise price of $0.12 per share for a period of 12 months from the closing date.

Completion of the private placement is subject to final regulatory approval. Proceeds of the private placement will be used to carry out exploration and development on Teras' current properties and for general working capital and new business transactions.
