Tesseract School Offers High School Merit Scholarships

PHOENIX, AZ--(Marketwire - November 24, 2009) - Tesseract School, a private school in Scottsdale, Arizona, is offering four-year high school merit scholarships for students who have demonstrated considerable academic potential in middle school.

"The Tesseract High School Merit Scholarship Program is designed to honor and reward academically talented students who seek opportunities for leadership, intellectual stimulation and personal development in high school," said Nigel Taplin, Tesseract's head of school.

Through this program, Tesseract School is able to provide four-year scholarship awards for up to 50 percent of tuition for students who have maintained excellent grades throughout middle school. To retain the scholarship throughout high school, students must maintain a grade point average of 3.5 or higher, something Taplin is confident scholarship recipients will be able to achieve.

"During my 30-plus years as an educator and administrator, I've found that education is all about connecting with students," Taplin said. "With outstanding educators and our innovative, student-centered curriculum we keep students engaged in learning and invested in their education."

In addition to the High School Merit Scholarship, Tesseract offers need-based financial aid. Scholarship recipients are also eligible to apply for these awards to help offset additional educational costs.

Potential candidates for Tesseract's High School Merit Scholarship Program should contact Scott Salk, Tesseract's director of admissions, at 480.991.1770 or for further details.
