Texas 2009 Five Diamond Award Winners Announced


HOUSTON, TX--(Marketwire - November 25, 2008) - AAA Texas has announced the four lodgings and one restaurant that achieved Five Diamond Award® status in the region for 2009. The AAA Five Diamond Award designation, the travel authority's highest rating for hotels and restaurants, was awarded to just 5 area establishments overall.

Representing the upper echelon of the hospitality industry, AAA Four and Five Diamond Award winners make up just 3.0 percent and 0.28 percent, respectively, of the 58,000 Diamond Rated lodgings and restaurants throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean.

The assignment of a AAA rating of One to Five Diamonds marks the completion of a successful annual evaluation. All properties must first meet AAA's rigorous requirements to become AAA Approved® establishments.
