The 16th Quebec MS Walk: Just One Step Away From Ending MS!

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Feb. 2, 2010) - The Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada invites you to participate in the 16th provincial MS Walk to be held in 25 towns across Quebec, on Sunday, April 25, Sunday, June 6 and Sunday, September 12, 2010.

For the 2010 edition, Sebastien Benoit again joins the MS Walk as provincial spokesperson for the fourth consecutive year. "Since I myself belong to the age group of young adults who are most affected by multiple sclerosis-15 to 40 years old-I think it's important to make the general public aware of what people who have this incurable neurological disease are going through," explained Mr. Benoit.

The MS Walk has two routes, either 2.5 or 10 km. The wheelchair-accessible activity also includes entertainment and rest stops stocked with snacks, making it a truly family-oriented event.

The main goal this year is to bring out 6,895 walkers and to raise $1,420,000, which will be used to fund research and services for people who have multiple sclerosis (MS) and their families.
