The 41st Parameter Continues Growth With Appointment of Two Vice Presidents

Michael Yakel Named as Vice President of Professional Services for eCommerce and David Britton Promoted to Vice President of Product Management

SCOTTSDALE, AZ -- (MARKET WIRE) -- August 7, 2006 -- The 41st Parameter, a leader in agent-less, covert fraud detection and prevention for the online channel, today announced the continued expansion of their product and professional services groups with the appointment of two vice presidents. Michael Yakel, a financial industry veteran, has joined the Company as vice president of professional services, eCommerce. Yakel will head integration, training, best practices and support services for The 41st Parameter's online merchant customers. Additionally, the Company has named David Britton vice president of product management, a new position which will oversee product development for all of the Company's covert Internet fraud detection and prevention solutions.

Yakel joins The 41st Parameter with more than 20 years of industry experience, most recently as vice president of emerging products for Visa U.S.A. There, he directed the development and management of new and emerging products; was a founding member of e-Visa, a division specifically devoted to products and services for the Internet; and managed the Verified by Visa authentication service. Yakel also held senior management positions with American Express, First Union Corporation, First Interstate Bank and served as an independent consultant for companies like Capital One Financial, US Bancorp and Bank of America. Yakel earned a bachelor of science degree in computer science from the University of Southern California.

Britton, who joined The 41st Parameter in January 2005, assumes the role of vice president of product management, to focus on the development of products that continue to evolve the Company's covert approach to detecting online fraud. He previously held the position of vice president of professional services, eCommerce.
