The Corporate Library Celebrates Its Tenth Year, Continues Global Expansion

PORTLAND, ME--(Marketwire - August 4, 2008) - The Corporate Library, the independent leader in corporate governance information and risk analysis, today celebrates the beginning of its tenth year of operation. The company was founded by Robert A. G. Monks and Nell Minow, acknowledged leaders in the field of corporate governance, with the vision of creating a more effective way to assess governance risk. In fulfilling that vision, The Corporate Library has grown to become a leader in governance-related research and advisory services and in the development and delivery of advanced, easy-to-use, web-based governance, compensation and business development research solutions in use by the world's leading investors, insurers and pension funds, among others.

"The inauguration of our tenth year reminds us that The Corporate Library represents not only the best thinking about corporate governance and other extra-financial business risk, but the earliest," said Richard A. Bennett, CEO of The Corporate Library. "Our founders and staff have pioneered the field and literally written the textbook on governance, as well as continue to be active participants as the world rapidly moves to incorporate our thinking into business models."

The Corporate Library will mark its tenth year of operation by continuing its global coverage expansion, by becoming a complete corporate ESG risk research provider, and by providing ongoing development of its governance policy analysis and audit services for the world's major funds and investors. Subscription services will be enhanced this summer with the addition of global coverage in LeaderBoard™, an online research and business development database of corporate leadership worldwide. The expanded service, covering over 50,000 individuals, will launch in mid-August, providing the ultimate solution to identify and target key players in companies on five continents.

To commemorate its tenth year, The Corporate Library has also initiated a free subscription email mailing list to inform subscribers about complimentary research and other ESG resources. A sign-up form is available on The Corporate Library's website at
