The GSA's New Apps.Gov Cloud Storefront Approves Ciracom as Cloud Services Vendor

WASHINGTON, DC--(Marketwire - November 18, 2009) - Ciracom has been selected to be part of the new General Services Administration's cloud storefront, Apps.gov.

Cloud computing is a major feature of the President's initiative to modernize IT and can reduce the cost of IT infrastructure by utilizing commercially available technology. It offers a cost-effective service oriented approach for sharing computing resources, whereby common infrastructure, applications, information, and solutions can be utilized across the Government.

"The addition of Apps.gov allows for an innovative approach to contracting for cloud, software and Saas services that will help save the government money," said Amy Rutt, President and CEO of Ciracom. "We are excited to be a part of this new initiative that will bring government and the benefits of cloud computing together."

Ciracom's managed services are listed under the Business Apps and Productivity Apps areas of the Apps.gov storefront. Ciracom's cloud services include Microsoft Exchange Hosting along with several enhanced services like e-mail archiving, encrypted e-mail, mobile messaging and content filtering.
