This funding will help support the Society's annual chamber music series. This year's lineup will include a variety of family concerts, string quartets, and orchestra presentations. Outreach activities include workshops, education sessions, and musical receptions.

"Our Government recognizes that creativity and innovation are essential to Canadian cultural life and our communities," said Minister Moore. "The Calgary Pro Musica Society makes an outstanding contribution to the cultural vitality of the region, and we are proud to contribute to it."

"I would like to thank the Calgary Pro Musica Society for their continued dedication to ensuring that residents of Calgary have access to some of the greatest music from both Canada and abroad," said Minister Prentice. "Congratulations on another successful year."

"We are extremely pleased to receive this support from the Government of Canada, and we are lucky to live in a country that supports the arts the way Canada does," said Dean O'Brien Artistic Director, Calgary Pro Musica Society. "This and other funding will allow Calgary Pro Musica to continue to bring the greatest chamber ensembles from Canada and abroad to Calgary."
