The North American Poker Tour Meets the Worldwide Leader in Sports NAPT Venetian to Air on ESPN2 April 19

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - April 19, 2010) - The North American Poker Tour makes its much anticipated debut today, April 19 at 10 p.m. ET on ESPN2. The first episode highlights the inaugural stop at The Venetian Hotel-Resort-Casino in Las Vegas.

The NAPT event at The Venetian featured a $5,000 Main Event and $25,600 Invitational High Roller Bounty Shootout, both of which will appear in future ESPN2 telecasts.

The $5,000 NAPT Venetian Main Event drew in 872 players. Some of the top names in the game, including Team Pros Daniel Negreanu and Chris Moneymaker showed up for a piece of the $4 million prize pool. Among the players who finished in the money were Team Pros Vanessa Rousso, Tom McEvoy, and Greg Raymer.

Lon McEachern and Norman Chad call the action, and each show will feature the work of top model, Joanna Krupa.

ESPN2 will air two episodes each Monday night for the next five weeks, followed by six more episodes later this year.
