The Salvation Army and Sears to Conduct 23rd Annual Children's Shopping Spree

75 Local Underprivileged Children to Participate

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - November 9, 2007) - This Tuesday, November 13, the Holiday Season will shine a little brighter for 75 underprivileged children. On that date the 23rd annual Sears Holiday Season Shopping Spree will take place where needy children from the community between the ages of 5 and 12 will be given $100 and the run of the Sears Store in Santa Monica.

Upon arriving at the store at 7:45 am, each child will be "let loose" in Sears to purchase $100 worth of clothing thanks to The Salvation Army and its generous donors. This annual event is always filled with excitement and smiling faces on children who, without an event of this sort, would go without.

The Sears store is located at 302 Colorado Ave., Santa Monica. Lt. Alex Padilla of the Santa Monica Police is the Chairperson of the event. Further information is available through The Salvation Army's Anthony Begonia at (213) 792-7409.
