OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - April 9, 2010) - The Ottawa Senators' year-long commitment to community outreach programs throughout the National Capital Region continues. The following is a look at the club's community schedule from Friday, April 9, to Thursday, April 15.

Daniel Alfredsson mural unveiling 

On Saturday, April 10, at 10:15 a.m., Senators president Cyril Leeder will be joined by former team captain Laurie Boschman to unveil a mural dedicated to team captain Daniel Alfredsson. The mural willl chronicle highlights of Alfredsson's 14-year career in Ottawa. The unveiling is set to take place in the concourse behind section 101 (located just inside the Gate 1 entrance), where the mural will remain permanently as a tribute to Alfredsson.

Spartacat appearances

Spartacat, the Senators' ambassador of fun, will be at the Senators' open practice on Saturday, April 10, as of 9:30 a.m., to welcome all fans in attendance. On Sunday, April 11, Sparty will attend the annual Ottawa Year End Minor Hockey tournament, which is held in support of Roger's House, from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Jim Durrell Arena (1264 Walkley Road, Ottawa).
